Our client GreenMine, has a sustainable, scalable, efficient business solution which incorporates proven science with contracts in place in the UK. Predictions of returns at 10x within 2 to 3 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GreenMine is pioneering waste processing to clean and redevelop landfills using Carbonisation technology to produce Bio-Coal (carbon neutral solid biofuel made from organic waste) Bio-Char (used for drinking water filtration and as a composting agent) Bio-Oil (fossil fuel substitute) and recyclable minerals with an ultimate end goal of being able to process and clean landfills to create brownfield land for redevelopment as housing, retail facilities or industrial purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their process uses innovative technology in that it prevents pollutant emissions and solid residues during processing, and in their deployment and operation. All gases from the enclosed pyrolysise process are retrieved and recuperated by a highly efficient distilling structure. The equipment can be built within a short time frame and installed in relatively small spaces. This technology runs a system that renders the carbonisation plant 100% self-sustainable: it utilises only 10% of its own produced bio-coal to heat the carbonisation oven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whereas a conventional 5 ton per hour Incineration Plant would cost circa \u00a335M and would be a permanent structure, GreenMine\u2019s Waste Carbonisation Plants (WCPs) are containerised and are due to be priced around the \u00a312M mark. If the site owners wish to clear the site faster, more WCPs can be employed to increase the clearing rates. Because the WCPs can be containerised, they can then be moved to other landfill sites at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The current gate fee (charge to enter and deposit waste) for companies is \u00a390 per tonne of waste. These fees plus the off-takes that the technology produces should sell at a price of at least \u00a350 per tonne means that a 3 ton per hour plant, running 23 hours per day will produce revenues of circa \u00a3311K per month per plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One existing Carbonisation plant (not owned by Greenmine) is currently processing 10% MSW (municipal solid waste) and 90% plastics. The waste processing subsidies for plastics which will be introduced soon in the UK are estimated to be circa \u00a3300 per tonne. This may be a further valuable revenue stream in the revenue stack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, the waste market is highly fragmented with 75% of waste processing facilities owned privately by smaller operators and outside the hands of BIFFA, Veolia and other larger players. The increase in environmental regulations and scrutiny means existing waste handling companies may be looking for an exit from an increasingly challenging market thus giving an excellent opportunity for GreenMine to create a new approach with a profitable and efficient operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The potential for revenue generation is substantial, with numerous landfill sites across the UK ripe for remediation and redevelopment. There are over 500 operational landfill sites throughout the UK, with many more capped landfill sites that still emit climate warming and noxious gases, not to mention potential leachate of harmful substances into the water table. In addition, there are circa 1,500 coastal landfill sites which are exposing waste due to coastal erosion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stage 1 revenue comes from the development of the WCP technology in industrial locations, processing third party supplied waste feedstock and then selling power and by-products recovered from the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stage 2 revenue derived from the deployment of our WCP technology to historic landfill locations where it will be used to remediate and regenerate land, releasing it for valuable development as housing, retail facilities or industrial purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
